We had a wonderful experience at India Gate! The food tasted freshly cooked with lots of flavour. The chicken wings were as good as I’ve had in years! Plenty of flesh and succulent. The prawns for the main were large and juicy. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. I feel it represented really good value for money. I highly recommend India Gate for authentic Indian food.

We were so pleased to find this Indian has a varied menu with traditional dishes on the menu. The delicious food is cooked to order, including accommodating the dairy-free needs of one of our party. The serving staff and chef couldn’t have done more to be helpful and give information about the dairy in different dishes. The food was served in attractively crockery and was neither swimming with oil nor glowing with artificial colours: all the dishes were a lovely consistency with rich flavours. We didn’t take a picture as we were just enjoying the meal! We did snap the pudding, which was equally delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.
Visited India Gate for the first time with a group of friends on a quiet Wednesday evening. The food is an authentic North Indian experience. Many dishes on the menu were unfamiliar but Ria was patient and explained things to us. It was really nice to try new things and , thanks to Ria, we were not disappointed. On the contrary, we all really enjoyed the food. The mixed sharing platters were super nice with different things to try. The great thing is they will cook your regular favourite too. Really tasty and interesting food, with a big vegetarian selection, and great, friendly service. Good value too! Well worth a visit. The dining room was quiet but there was a steady flow of take aways coming out to of the kitchen. Looking forward to our next visit already.
Our overall goal experience was nothing short than excellent. We were able to get a reservation on the same day (Saturday) between 18:00 and 19:00. When we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff. Once we were seated, the waiter was very attentive and we ordered our drinks from a wide variety of beers, wines and spirits. The food was nothing short of perfect. It was a very traditional menu which meant that we got to experience the true flavours of India. The portion sizes were very generous and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning.
First visit to the restaurant and certainly won’t be the last. Authentic Indian flavours and served with lots of warmth and love...will be back soon!
